PAPER: TRANSFORMING AFFAIRS

This paper was given at the Durrell Centre in Corfu Greece at a conference on modern love, and was cited in a reading list by Esther Perel, author of Mating in Captivity. Regrettable, inevitable or both, affairs are too often seen and judged from a perspective that is too constrictive and negative. People involved in a painful affair can be helped to see their very distress as a potentially transformative opportunity to understand themselves, but their relationships, and indeed the entire world in new, enlarged, more meaningful and inspiring ways.
